Meet AGCT-1o: a free online IQ test that channels the legacy of the Army General Classification Test (AGCT), a tool born in WWII to spot sharp minds fast. We’ve rebuilt it for 2025 with item response theory (IRT), targeting fluid intelligence (Gf), verbal comprehension (Vc), and numerical ability (N). It’s live on OpenMind as a research preview—try it, shape it, break it.

The original AGCT was a beast—its g-loading topped 0.925, meaning it nailed general intelligence like few others. AGCT-1o keeps that fire, hitting >0.925 with a Cronbach’s alpha of 0.91 for rock-solid reliability. We’ve slashed cultural bias (DIF < 0.05) using two-parameter logistic (2PL) and multi-parameter logistic (MPL) models, calibrated on diverse samples via confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). It’s lean, digital, and adapts to your ability in real-time.

This isn’t just a test—it’s a launchpad. Dropping March 1, 2025, alongside OpenMind IQ Suite, our new platform for cognitive mastery with next-level analytics. AGCT-1o is step one: a preview to refine with your input, paving the way for adaptive testing and a bigger item bank. Think WAIS-IV (g ~0.90) or Raven’s (~0.85), but free and future-proofed.

Why AGCT-1o Stands Out

High g-Loading

Boasts a g-loading >0.925, outpacing classics like WAIS-IV and Raven’s for pure intelligence insight.

Proven Reliability

Cronbach’s alpha of 0.91 ensures consistent results you can trust, every time.

Minimal Bias

DIF < 0.05 via rigorous IRT modeling keeps it fair across cultures and backgrounds.
